A: Plastic wheels with rubber "tires". Scratching should not be an issue if you keep the wheels clean.
Q: Is the powerhead electric driven? I can't see a cord.
A: Power head is electric powered. There is an "off-on" switch located on the hose handle - very handy.

Q: Can the power head adjust bar height? Like for low pile & high pile?
A: No it has no height adjustment. However, it has an adjustment for the volume of suction that may help with different heights on the rug piles.
