A: It is dual core, however you must understand that cores are not everything. This has a ton of processing power. The new Core M-5Y70 was originally meant to meet the demands of a professional, business device. It was also created for optimum processing speed and low-wattage performance compared to similar performing 4th gen Haswell chips. Intel described it as PC power in a laptop/2-1 device without the need of a fan.
