A: It's just Bad Corner cutting on cost. I might consider this PC with a 1660ti. My A15 Asus is the same combination, A 512 GB SSD, 16GB RAM. But has a 1660ti GPU, However at the time the A15 was released using an R7 4000 cpu that was the current High-end Ryzen 7 available. Not terrible. It is the First New Platform Ryzen 7 CPU. You might also consider the Asus Military Grade chassis and related components of the PC. The Dual Fan Self Cleaning Design is outstanding innovation. My years of experience have allowed me to know HP's Are dust collectors. Also the Asus has an Open Ethernet Port. Simple hole inside of case to keep things simple and sturdy. Whereas the HP has a Rediculous Ethernet Door on the port. They ALWAYS BREAK. I have a collection of HP laptop bottom covers, Yes with Broken Ethernet Doors. The port is disabled once the door retaining clip breaks away from the bottom cover. You can go USB 3.0 to Ethernet Adapter ( recommend the Platinum version at $29.95 at Best Buy). Or have your cover replaced by HP for $400.00 or purchase and install yourself for just $200 something for a new bottom cover. BIG Design Flaw that has been around for years. This Mis-Design is a REAL "Replace your PC Option" as repairing is almost as costly. SORRY HP. I had to let the Cat out of the Bag on that I. But you/HP, deserve it Well ! Design OUT that problem by simple removing the door from next re-design. Just a Hole is all that is necessary. I can't Imagine Something Jumping in there rendering Damage. Come On, Wake Up. And add a Fan cleaning/dust flushing Design also to Catch-Up with the competition.
