Great keyboard, but maybe get it when it's on sale
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I bought this while it was on sale for $40 to replace a dying $30-ish dollar Redragon mechanical keyboard. The HP OMEN - Encoder's keys have a very satisfying, clackier feel with less resistance when pressed (the Redragon's keys felt spongier). The Encoder also feels sturdier all around and looks easier to clean. Overall, I'm really happy with this. I'm not sure if I would recommend it at its normal $100 price, though. With what's available these days, I think $100 for a gaming keyboard without RGB is a little silly.

Wonderful keyboard!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I actually bought this for my brother, he got a PC, it came with a mediocre keyboard and mouse and he didn’t really like it so I went to Best Buy...just to look and I ended up walking out with a keyboard and a mouse pad! The keyboard is absolutely amazing and he loves it, he treats it like his baby! Wonderful setup along with the mouse pad!

Nice keyboard to use in the dark
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This is a nice keyboard. The red lights are plenty to see in the dark without the full "unicorn pee" RGB color spectrum. It's compact but in exchange you lose some of the single button media keys that other keyboards might have. You have to press "fn" plus "f9" to mute, for example.

Q: QuestionWhat light settings can be set at the keyboard only? I want to use this for general purpose (not gaming) on a computer without loading any extra software. I tried a different company's rgb keyboard and it constantly cycled through the rainbow.

Anti-ghosting with N-key rollover and ultra-responsive, CHERRY MX Brown mechanical switches for agility to maneuver ahead of the competition, providing tactile feedback to prioritize accurate keystrokes. It's backlit, with each key having its own LED light. The Cheddar keyboard included with the Omen 30L desktops is lower profile, similar to most stand full-sized keyboards, not particularly "gaming centric" (regarding speed and tactile features), and not backlit.
