Excellent Choice for my First HD Ever.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being one of those hd infatuated teenagers, i get pumped about this stuff. I like to code computers, fix computers, and when i got my 360 a few years ago, i wanted hd. So being the way i am, i research everything, not necessarily for purchasing, but for wanting to know how it works. One of my closest friends purchased this same tv about a year and a half ago. To tell you the truth, i would have never purchased this tv if i hadnt seen it perform in his house. For what i paid, this is an excellent purchase. Its capabilities and size a well beyond any other television i have been able to find. Ever. In its price range of course. The picture is well beyond amazing, it is hd of course, but the colors can be so rich, and the sharpness of the image is about perfect right out of the box. The brightness control on this television allows me to make the picture far beyond bright enough, or dark enough, well beyond any other television my family has owned. This has been my best purchase since my 360. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent size tv for use in their living room or bed room. Anyone who purchases this particular television, should not be dissapointed.

great tv good price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product for watching tv, but I mainly use it for playing video games and watching dvds. The experience is truly amazing. I like this product because of the extreme clarity it provides it is a huge transformation from non hd to hd, also it is an afordable price. The only downside is that it is pretty heavy compared to the lcd or plasmas however once it's in place it is worth it. All in all if your money conscious and want a new hdtv for tv, gaming, or movies, this is a great buy.

For the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my HD Insignia for about 9 months now and have had no big problems. Yes, it weighs alot, but its not like you go jogging with a HDTV strapped to your arm, move it once and your good. It doesnt have HDMI inputs but my XBOX 360 looks great with the HD component cables, I also have the HD DVD player and it looks top notch on this screen. There are lots of picture and sound options plus the remote is simple and well layed out.I think for the price this is a decent TV. When I do upgrade I'm going for the Insignia LCD. Not only would I recommend to a friend but I have recommended it to a friend!

Ehhh...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV becuase I wanted the HD experiance for under $600, but the thing is heavy and takes 2 people to move it. It's also missing HDMI inputs. I can't wait to upgrade to a LCD screen soon.

Poor quality tv.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the previous year's model and now it's just an enormous paperweight sitting on my TV stand. I also had issues with the picture geometry, but I figured that this was to be expected for the price. I bought it a year and 9 months ago, and it just went out today. The TV is completely unresponsive when I hit the power button on the front of the TV. The TV hums just a bit when the power is first plugged in, but neither the power or standby light comes on. The warranty is a cheap 1 year warranty, so just don't expect this TV to last any longer. If you do buy this TV, make sure to get a few years extended service, you are going to need it.

HORRIBLE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this tv 3 days ago, & the first one we bought had a problem w/ the screen, the picture wasn't straight. So we returned it & got another one only for the same thing to happen. So we returned it again, only to see the one they had on display did the exact same thing. NO STRAIGHT PICTURE. it was horrilbe.
