Q: How does this unit perform with shag carpet? Other roombas I have purchased do not do well.
A: Terrible on shag. It actually will get stuck on shag.
Q: Since I do not have wi-fun will this roomba still function in my house
A: Yes, but you have to manually start it, you will not get alerts and it might not be able to detect the charging station. Gotta try it first to see if it is able to clean and do the task you want it to complete without wifi. If not, simple return it to BestBuy for a refund.

A: The J7 will. I have two puppies and it avoided them completely
