Great Function and Ease of use
When I was looking for a home security system, I wanted something that was fairly inexpensive, easy to use, and had no monthly charge. The iSmart camera adds an element that I love to an already great system. The streaming video cues up quickly on my phone, even when I am in not great areas of reception. Installation was fairly simple. Overall, I couldn't complain, as the video quality is good, the app is intuitive, and you can actually scan around the room with the camera, which is a feature you don't get it with some more expensive cameras.

This camera works ok, and there are no hidden fees
This camera works ok. Day and night video is acceptable. You can tilt and pan the camera to look around your home at will, but remember to leave it pointed where it will catch an intruder when you are not looking around your home. One downside of this camera is that when an alarm is triggered, it will only capture 10 seconds of video once it detects motion. Then it will upload this video to the 'cloud', before it may record another 10 seconds of video. I think this is a bit limiting as if an intruder was looking away from the camera during this 10 seconds, you may not be able to identify them. The manufacturer doesn't mention this, so don't be surprised by it. Otherwise it works well. This 10 second limitation does not apply to live monitoring, but only to the recorded video that is captured when an alarm is triggered. You can not only watch the video, but it has a built in microphone so you can listen in also. So it's good for checking in on the kids, or your pets.

Great, but could use some improvements.
I love the iSmartAlarm home security system, and purchased a couple of these to add on to my base system. Good picture and sound quality, although I feel that the sensor could be a bit better on picking up motion detection. Get night vision though, and captures decent film quality when recoding.
