Q: Hello, Does this work Asus VivoBook? Thanks!
A: The JCD387 Can be used with any computer that has a USB type C port that supports Displayport Alternate mode, however it can only be used in the dual configuration shown when used with an Apple Macbook Pro.
Q: Will this let me use dual monitors with my MacBook Air?
A: Unless it's running Big Sur - found out the hard way. Anyone with the M1 (MBP or Air) that comes with Big Sur is not going to be happy with this product.
Q: Will this let me use dual monitors with my MacBook Air (Retina, 2018)? I've read conflicting answers
A: Yes, the JCD387 will allow you to add another 2 HDMI screens to your MacBook - simply plug in the HDMI modular into one USB-C port, the actual hub to another USB-C port and you will have another 2 screens to work off.
A: One of the ports on the Samsung Book 2 Pro 360 is a Thunderbolt 4, which should support DP Alt Mode and PD features. The (2) USB Type-C ports must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video out when you connect the HDMI magnetic kit to allow dual displays. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. ** Feel free to contact j5create Technical Support if you require further assistance. Their information can be found on our website under the "Support" tab. Thank you.
Q: Can this work with Android phones ?
A: The JCD387 is intended for MacBook Pro and Air and not so much for Android phones. If the Android phone supports DP alt-mode, the video signal modular may output a video signal, but not guaranteed. If you are looking to mirror your mobile device to larger screen, we have other adapters available. If interested in learning about them, we recommend contacting support on the casing and an agent will be happy to assist.
Q: Will this work with a HP Elite book 840 G6
A: The JCD387 Can be used with any computer that has a USB type C port that supports Displayport Alternate mode, however it can only be used in the dual configuration shown when used with an Apple Macbook Pro.
A: If the computer has a USB-C port, then it will work. Made me incredibly efficient.
A: Screen recording just means, it essentially allows video in or out of the computer, video conferencing such as zoom or google meet also requires this to be enabled otherwise they will not work. Screen recording is not something we added to the MacOS.
