I use this dock with my Lenovo X1. it works well, and it charges my laptop at the same time. The only issue I have is the use of multiple screens. I have one monitor with HDMI directly to my laptop and one using the dock. The problem is the color, contrast, etc. are distinctly different between the two, and I can't make them match. its a bit distracting.

This is a great performing product. With its power supply (110 volt) it lightens the load on USB-C port to which it attaches. It eliminates your USB peripherals from draining energy from the associated PC. I get better performance from this than my prior Travel dock which drew its power from my laptop.

While this is missing some features that larger docks have, like audio input, it is great for what it is. It is much more portable and can charge and communicate with my laptop through a single usb which is what I want. Unfortunately I have to add the 3.5mm audio separately.

I purchased this device as a generic dock that I could use with my laptop for when I am away from office environments. I basically needed an HDMI, which is more generally available on monitors and TVs, plus some extra USB ports. My laptop has display port and SVGA for video output, and these days, those aren't as commonly available as HDMI. I also needed additional USB ports, as my laptop has 2 plus the USB-C. I do not presently need the 90W USB-C power output that the dock can provide, but it is handy to have, just in case.

The idea is right but this is really to big and bulky for me plus the cables on the Anker chargers are nicer- but I got this mainly for the hdmi port -

The only input option is through the USB-C port. Problem is, my Lenovo laptop only has one, and it's the charging port. On a full battery, only hooking up two monitors, it drains the battery in two hours. If you have another charging source (like Dell), this should work just fine.

This dock does not have the ability to support two screens. If a basic USB type C dock is all you need without a lot of other devices, this may work for you. The j5create technical support was not very helpful except in their effort to encourage me to buy a more costly item.
