A: Thought I'd reply to this as I had this problem and found no useful answers anywhere online. I ended up phoning Jabra and the guy got me to manually reapply the firmware (even though I was on the latest). MAKE SURE you let it update COMPLETELY because the light on the case goes green for a period halfway through the update then continues updating (flashing purple). I have a theory that this may be what caused the trouble for me when I first updated the firmware immediately after purchase, I'm sure I would have removed the buds after the light first went green. My theory is that only the right earbud updated! Since re-applying, performance has been flawless! The process to do this is undocumented as far as I can tell but you need to: 1. Go to the Sound+ app 2. Go to the device section 3. Select Voice Guidance Language 4. Select your language then choose update
Q: Can you skip songs with them ? Instead of using the phone
A: Yes, you can. Press and hold the volume up button and you can skip a track. Press and hold the volume down button and you repeat/play previous song. I have an iPhone so I am not sure if it's the same with other phones. Hope this helps.
Q: Do you have to use both buds for them to work?
A: No, you can use just the right if you want (I use just 1 for cycling). You lose the left side controls (skip, volume) but you keep the voice control which you can use to skip (or change volume).
A: According to their website yes. http://blog.jabra.com/waterproof-or-water-resistant-whats-behind-an-ip-rating/?_ga=1.237520067.250089688.1480127151 The headphones have an IP67 rating which means that they can be submerged in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes.
Q: What is the battery life on these?
A: 3hr claim on each charge. The case holds 2 extra charges. I have only used then for 2.5hrs consecutively before I removed them to do other things. Never had a low batter warning.
Q: Can you where them on an airplane the entire flght? DO they block out the airplane noise?
A: If you use the noise blocking tips provided, yes. Note, you'll have to follow regulations for turning off equipment during takeoff and landing.
A: Yes, if you're listening to music or on a call, it will alert you you have an incoming call and ask you to say "Answer" or "Ignore"
A: Bass response is the Achilles heel of these buds. They sound about like the standard earbuds that come (for free) with an iPod. I use the Jabra buds with my iPhone 6s and they sound very thin and tinny. And yes, I've tried every combination of foam tip and ear gel they have and made sure they are properly fitted. If you turn on the bass boost of your device, that helps, but even with that they don't sound great - just adequate. If you are hung up on the "truly wireless" thing, then maybe these are for you, but the redesigned Bose SoundSport earbuds sound much better - and for $100 less. Just make sure they were made after 8/1/16. All you have is one wire that connects the two buds.
