"Pack the power of high-quality audio onto the back of your smartphone with this JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod. It's compatible with the Moto Z Droid and the Moto Z Droid Force, providing seamless connectivity with your phone's audio. The extra battery life of this JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod keeps your phone running for up to five hours longer. "
Q: Does it work on the new Moto Z2 Force?
A: Motorola has announced that all Mods will work on all Moto Z phones. Yes it will work on the new Moto Z2 Force.
A: No i do not think it will work with Apple. You would need to have the pin connectors and Apple is not that advanced.
A: I have the mod and i also have the JBL FLip 2. I would say that its not quit as loud at the flip and doesn't have as much bass, but its close on sound. I think it does an outstanding job for its size. the best part is how easy it is to connect compared to pairing with bluetooth.
Q: This looks interesting. Does it enhance the speakerphone function? Seems like it would.
A: Yes, the SOUNDBOOST does amplify the speakerphone while the SOUNDBOOST mod is connected to your Moto Z.
Q: Does this also act as a extended battery pack that you can put on motoz.
A: There are so many conflicting answers here. The JBL Moto Mod does not act an an extended battery back. It does feature a built-in battery but it only powers the speakers, it won't power the phone. It means you'll get 10 hours of playback out of this without draining your phone. If you want an extended battery pack, get one of the models offered by Incipio, Kate Spade (they're actually made by Incipio), Mophie, or Tumi..
Q: ITS FOR MY ZUMBA CLASS IT HAS GOOD SOUND?
A: Don't get this if your goal is to have music playing back while teaching a Zumba class. Not only will your vocal instructions drown it out but so will the movements and breathing of the people participating in your class. You want something much, much bigger like a UE Megaboom, JBL Extreme, Harman Kardon Onyx, Bose SoundLink III, or any number of Sony, Bose, and Sonos speakers if you don't care about having a battery in the actual speaker. I recommend the UE Megaboom. You can eventually get two (or more) and link them all up together via Bluetooth so that you really fill the room with sound.
Q: I'm assuming you have to take your case off each time you want to use the speaker?
A: Yep, it connects to the back of the phone.
A: I actually found a solar powered battery mod on eBay, they do make one
