I have been very pleased with the puchase of this water filter. It has allowed me to use water from the faucet instead of using prefiltered water. The idea of giving a hint on when to install a new filter is a delighter. Got ration efficiency has been awesome. I gave been pleased with the performance so far.

Make sure that you check when you buy your keurig or first open it to make sure if your model comes with the starter kit or not. Some do & some don't. Some models also have a different filter holder, but I believe that the filters themselves are the same for all of the models, at least as of right now.

I used to fill my keurig with filtered water from the fridge . It's a hassle since you can't completely fill it to the top..tried this and now I just use the water from the sink. Coffee tastes just as good and no charcoal taste like some have said.

I can certainly use my Keurig without the filters but with the filters I don't get mineral deposits to clean up or clog my machine, and it makes the beverages we brew in it taste as good as they can be. My only complaint is that Best Buy didn't have any of the replacement filters without the stater kit, which I didn't need. But since I made a special trip just for the filters, I bought the only kit left on the shelf. The starter kit was supposed to include TWO filters. When I got it home and opened the package, I found there was only ONE filter there. I couldn't get back to the store to return the pilfered package within the next few days, so I just sucked it up and accepted the shortage. I'm still kind of ticked at paying the price of a stater kit I didn't need to get only ONE filter in the end, but I'm not in the habit of opening packages in the store to check that sort of thing. That may change in the future though. A previous customer probably wasn't happy with getting only 2 filters in their package and decided to open another pack and add a third filter to their purchase. Thanks a lot previous pilfering customer. That shows real class!

It really does make a difference in how the coffee tastes. Quite handy that there are 2 filters in the package.

It fits my Keurig 65 right. I don't know about the performance.
A:AnswerI am not sure I fully understand the question but will take a chance at answering with the hope of being helpful....
First of all, not all Keurigs use a filter so make sure that your machine is one that does!
You should have two pieces--The long plastic piece is to be placed in the empty or nearly empty water reservoir. At the bottom of that long piece there is a "receptacle" that holds the little charcoal filter. (note:The filter requires soaking/rinsing before installation.)
The second piece, the disposable filter, just sets right into the bottom of that long plastic piece. You put the filter in the long plastic piece, then into the filter hole in the bottom of the water tank. The plastic piece holds the filter under water to cleanse the water before it is pumped into the unit. I have the 5072 model filter which has a round loop at the top that has a rotating date wheel to help you remember when you need to replace it.
I hope that helps.
