A: Yes, you can biamplify your separates with this amp. I'm not sure whether the crossover is better in this unit than the passive crossover that came with your speakers, however.
Q: I'm looking for a plug and play amplifier does this one do that with a 2013 7 series Bmw?
A: The only amp that is plug in play is a factory OEM replacement if the car has or had one or is wired from the factory. Sure this one can be wired into your car no problem but not plug in play. If that all you know how to do and don’t want to screw your car up. Take it to a real shop and not the Best Buy install bay. The people there are computer kids not audio kids. I can’t believe some of the stuff I have over heard them saying when trying to sell car audio. Plus it’s like a bastered step child they cry when someone asks a question about car audio.
Q: It doesn’t say anywhere how many channels this amp is can you tell me ? Thank you
A: When you say channels, I assume you mean how many speakers will this accommodate? I have a 2013 Ford Escape and it has 5 speakers. One in the dash, 2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear doors. I didn't install this amp (I had my local BestBuy install it) and I bought this to "enhance" the existing factory stereo system, which it DEFINITELY DOES. I was concerned when I was considering buying it, that it would blow out my existing factory speakers (I wasn't planning on going nuts and buying new speakers) but the tech at BestBuy assured me that would not happen. I have had this amp in my car since August and so far it has worked great. It gave me the extra power that I was looking for, without having to spend a lot of money.
Q: Will this add to the power of the preamp or will it jus be 45x4
A: These style amps will work with aftermarket stereo pre-amps, but are generally designed to be used high level and sound better if you use a speaker level input
