This 5-element induction cooktop combines precision and speed. Electromagnetic technology directly heats the pan while keeping the cooktop surface cool to the touch. Twelve power levels give you the power to rapidly bring water to a boil and sear scallops to perfection. A bridge function combines the power of four elements into two large cooking zones for specialty cookware.
A: Mel, if you review the features and description information on this model, it clearly states that both pairs of side burners can be bridged. The four outside burners are 7 inches in diameter, while the center burner has a 9-inch center and 12-inch outer burner. The cooktop can sense if a pan is present and determine the pan's approximate size to help optimize the performance of the burner, plus it can sense if the pan is removed from the burner. If the pan is not returned to the burner within a predetermined time, the burner is turned off automatically.
A: Hello houseinstall! The cutout information we have is: Cutout Depth (in) 19 5/16" and Cutout Width (in) 33 1/16". Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
Q: Does this cooktop make a lot of beeping sounds? Can those sounds be quieted or muted?
A: No, it makes a sound when power turned on, and when you are adjusting the temp. Or if you take off a pan and forget to turn power off, it will let you know. We love it so far, very easy to keep clean and boils water super-fast!
A: You would have to listen very intently with no other sounds to interfere in order to even hear the very faint fan noise. We love this cooktop and I would compare its speed to heat equal or better than gas. Best of luck
Q: do you install it ? and does it come in stainless ?
A: Yes, it comes in stainless steel.
Q: Where is the model and serial number located on a 36" KitchenAid Induction Cooktop?
A: Hello. The model and serial number should be located on the bottom side of this Cooktop. We hope this helps.
A: I am not an electrician. According to specs you need a 40 amp breaker. However you will also have to upgrade the wire to carry that load. I had an electrician run the wire and install the breaker
