A: For soup yes not to kneed dough

A: When the 60-ounce jar is properly seated on the base, the entire blender is about 17.75 inches tall. I have 17 inches of clearance between my countertop and the bottom of the cupboard, and this blender cannot slide to the back of the countertop, against the wall.
