For those that would enjoy a fantasy tale
I would recommend this movie to those that are inclined to liking fantasy tales. Many surprises as the story unfolds. It is not a particularly light hearted story for kids however. The video is 1st class with detailed imaging along with a satisfying sound presentation. The added depth of the 3D version does enhance the viewing experience.
Kubo is an amazing, thoughtful, beautiful film. My kids who watched it (8 and 10) really liked it. My family loves telling stories, so the themes and the main character really resonated with us.
The creepy sisters were too intense for my 6 year old, but we already had a paw patrol movie going for the 4 year old so she just joined him.
