Q: Does this laptop come with a DVD player?
A: This does not have an optical drive.
A: Short answer to all the above is YES! However do not mistake the BETA builds for those that will be available on July 29th. They are still early builds and will have issues. With that being said, I've been running the windows insider program for almost 5 months and it has been great. Few bugs here and there, but with their feedback system it seems that they are fixed in a timely fashion. If you are not tech savvy, that's totally ok. Windows 10 is super easy to set up, if you reserve a copy then you'll be able to download it in the background when available and will be prompted to install on the 29th.

A: I found it easy to adjust. I have an iPad, MacBook and read on a kindle black & white but love my yoga 2. Very easy to adapt and awesome to have the touch screen even when using as a laptop and not a tablet. I mostly use it for Microsoft, emails and port it out with me on the go for the internet in addition to Microsoft.
A: Negative. The model that is a tier higher than this has a backlight keyboard, at the cost of having a smaller hard drive that's an SSD at approx 128 GB.
Q: Is this a good computer for college?
A: This is a mid-level computer. It would be good for Microsoft Office projects, research online and email. The light weight portability and ability to use it in tablet mode makes it very useful for a student.
Q: Ram upgrade
A: I have just recently researched this problem myself I needed to change a keyboard on mine and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. There is a single slot below the keyboard and you must use a single stick. If you go to Lenovo support and analyze your laptop they can tell you the upgrade limits. Most likely like mine you will be able to go to 8 gigs.

A: No. It offers a free trial but you would have to purchase office. It comes with windows 8.1 and other apps plus the app store you can purchase apps from. It can be used as a tablet or desktop
