A: Very quiet, very cool, you will love it!
A: The LFXC22596S has an automatic defrost but is not listed as frost free. Yes, the LFXC22596S has a dual ice maker. The automatic freezer icemaker produces 12 cubes at a time, 50-110 pieces within a 24 hour period if conditions are favorable.
Q: the light inside only comes on when u open the door
A: When you open the door the light come on inside the main compartment. As for the instaview door, The light comes on when you open that compartment door or knock on the window of the door.
A: The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 21.9 Cu. Ft. French InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LFXC22596S comes with the LG 6 Month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (Part ADQ74793501), Model # LT1000P installed. IT has a built-in bypass filter. If you install a Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System, the pressure needs to be a minimum of 40–60 psi (2.8 – 4.2 kgf/cm2,or less than 2–3 seconds to fill a cup of 7 oz capacity). If the water pressure from the reverse osmosis system is less than 20 psi or 138 kPa or 1.4 kgf/ cm2(takes more than 4 seconds to fill a cup of 7 oz or 198 cc capacity), check to see if the sediment filter in the reverse osmosis system is blocked. Replace the filter if necessary. If the water pressure remains low, call a licensed, qualified plumber...^IFV
Q: Can I use the glide and serve drawer as meat drawer ?
A: According to the Owner's Manual, some models have a variable temperature control in the glide and serve drawer. Our model, LFXC22596S, does not. "This drawer can be used for large party trays, deli items and beverages". We use it for packaged meats and cheeses. Have not stored strictly raw meat, but don't see why you couldn't. However note the drawer is not quite 3 1/2" tall, so larger meats won't fit. We love ours and find it has much more room that we envisioned. The door in door case for often used items is a favorite!
A: The water does not have to be turned of to change the filter. Replacing the water filter causes a small amount of water (around 1 oz. or 25 cc) to drain. Wrap a cloth around the front end of the water filter cover to collect any leaking water. Hold the water filter upright, once it is removed, to prevent any remaining water from spilling out of the water filter. ^Daphane
