A: It is my impression that the maximum resolution of the TV cannot take advantage of the HDMI 2.1 resolution input potential. So having HDMI 2.1 vs. 2.0b is almost irrelevant. You will notice that the 8K models offer HDMI 2.1. As usual, newer technology gets talked about, promoted a lot before it is actually practical to the average consumer because of cost, etc. SEE 5G phone cell spec for example.
Q: what does a smart t v do from a regular hd tv ?
A: Smart TVs are different from regular HDTVs in terms of their functionalities. A smart TV can connect to the internet and run network-based apps and other media content, while a regular TV cannot. Smart TVs have several features that regular TVs do not have, including voice recognition, built-in Wi-Fi, and the ability to connect to other smart home devices.
