Q: Can I turn the Wi-Fi / Smart Thinq capability off ? I'm not interested in a 'Smart' Dryer

A: Guys as some of you—the ones who have EMF meters—have noted, it matters not if you are connected; if you have downloaded the app and then disconnected the appliance as LG suggests—THE APPLIANCE CONSTANTLY EMITS EMF any time it’s on. We reached out on FB and via the app (which is ridiculous-it wants your precise location every 5 seconds and has a horrible UX-UI) and we are not getting answers. Even went on Yelp and tried to get a service person to come and disconnect it. No authorized service person would come by and help. It appears the there are two options: Turn it on and run or take the appliance apart and try to figure out where the module is. Going to try that next and will report back.

Q: Just purchase this dryer but I do get mad that I can not dry a lot of things at the same time. I put it for regular dry but when it finish it still wet. Am I doing something wrong or is this dryer a pain. Not very happy right now

A: I have the same problem. It doesn't even matter if it is a few things, the dryer sensor does not work right, and I specifically asked about that before purchasing. When you do the timed dry I cant take it off of high heat. It is really really annoying.

Q: Does the dryer door swing open 180 degrees so that it can lay flat against the front of the paired LG top-load washer? Our washer is on the right side of the dryer.

A: The door opens 2 ways but the front opens only about 45 degrees. It does not open completely flat, but it is convenient for loading.

Q: I'm hearing a clicking/rattling sound as the drum turns in my newly installed LG 7200E dryer. Is this normal? I am drying a load of linens which does not contain any metal or hard objects like a zipper.

A: NO. Report that or any questionable operation without delay. Make sure you have the contact name and a report number from LG; or any other manufacturer. Once your warrantee is up it is usually on you.

Q: What is the depth of the dryer with the door open? That information is not provided for this model.

A: About 51 inches w the door opened in the side swing position and about 40 inches if the door is opened in the downswing option. This still leaves plenty of space to load your clothes. (This model has the ability to open the door two different ways all the time. It can open w a side swing from the left or right side and you tell them which side swing you’d like AND it can open straight down. Using the down position can only go about 25 degrees, not the full 45 degrees, but plenty of room to load).
