Great monitor for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a new reasonably priced PC monitor after my twelve year-old previous one finally conked out. This LG UltraGear 24" is exactly what I was looking for. The screen size is just right to fit on my desk area and the picture quality looks great. Although this is a gaming monitor, I don't play games on my PC. However, I noticed that movies look great on this monitor. The one caveat is that you must check that your PC has an HDMI cable jack because this monitor only uses HDMI. If your PC is old and has no HDMI jack, this will not work. LG support told me via chat that any HDMI/VGA converter or adapter will not work for this monitor. If your PC has no HDMI jack, you would either need to get a new PC which HDMI jacks are standard by now... or look for an older model monitor. Lucky for me, my PC has one HDMI jack. It initially did not work, but LG support advised me to update the driver for my HDMI jack on the PC... and the monitor works great now. After you register your purchase, LG has great 24/7 support where you can chat with a live Technician.

Best Deal Ever
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased over a year ago. It was on sale for a great price, much lower than they sell monitors now. Works great. Even better than the one I use it with for work. Should’ve purchased two instead of one.

Amazing monitor for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great budget monitor with support for 144hz over HDMI, which I’ve come to find isn’t super common in budget monitors. Pros: - 144hz over HDMI and DP - Fast response time, good for competitive games like CS:GO and VALORANT - Very easy setup, only a few screws - Pretty budget friendly Cons: - Very limiting viewing angles, even shifting around in my swivel chair viewing - Poor color contrast, especially because I am colorblind

It's a good monitor. I would recommend it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.144hz looks smooth. Having it on the highest speed setting will give you an after-image, but just one level down, I don't notice any problems. No dead pixels and after a few tweaks to the monitor settings, the colors are good enough. My issues with the monitor, supposedly it works with g-sync, but so far, I can't get nVidia to recognize it. The colors are good, but they're very bold (not over-saturated, but like really noticeable). I've tried messing with saturation, brightness, and contrast. But I haven't found that sweet spot yet. Outside of that, it's a good monitor

Q: QuestionSo I got this monitor and I plugged it into my Xbox one s and I have no sound. I tried EVERYTHING!! Someone please help! I can hear people talking when I’m in chat but no game sound.
Asked by JayJay.
- A:Answer The LG 24'' UltraGear™ FHD 144Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor with FreeSync™, Model # 24GL600F-B does not have built-in speakers. It has a Headphone Out (3.5 mm port) on the back that you can connect to computer speakers or a Soundbar that has a Portable In (3.5 mm) port or you can use a mini stereo to stereo RCA cable to connect to external audio devices that have an Analog Stereo RCA Audio input or Auxiliary Input (i.e Red/White ports). The monitor has a joystick button under the panel where the LG logo is that you can use to access the settings menu where you can adjust the volume. Check your owner's manual for your Xbox One S to see how you can set the Speaker Audio...^IFV

Q: QuestionIs this monitor G Sync compatible?
Asked by ChrisB808.
- A:Answer The 24GL600F-B is not a certified Nvidia G-Sync Compatible monitor. G-Sync certified Freesync monitors will automatically unlock variable refresh rates on GeForce GPUs. However, Nvidia still let's consumer's turn on adaptive sync manually with a GeForce card. The technology just won't turn on automatically for non G-Sync Compatible monitors, and for those FreeSync monitors, they may also offer VRR (variable refresh rate) for compatible NVIDIA cards, but the quality of performance isn’t guaranteed. You would need to update to the latest NVIDIA drivers. You will need at least version WHQL 417.71 for FreeSync to work, but newer updates may contain certain useful fixes. You will also need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-series graphics card & upwards. You'll need to to make sure FreeSync is enabled on your monitor. Not all FreeSync monitors have FreeSync enabled by default. You can then open the your Nvidia Control Panel by right-clicking anywhere on your desktop and click the 'Set up G-Sync' option and tick the 'Enable G-Sync, G-Sync Compatible' box. ^CP

Q: QuestionWill a hdmi 2.1 cable work with this monitor. Trying to get a good monitor with a 2.1 hdmi cable for the new xbox series x
Asked by 12345543323.
- A:Answer Yes hdmi 2.1, as all hdmi cables are backwards compatible WILL work with this monitor but you won't be able to reap the benefits of hdmi 2.1 as this monitor can only support hdmi 2.0. You will be able to plug the xbox into the monitor you just won't be able to play 120fps at 4k like you can with a hdmi 2.1 supporting monitor
