Q: I have Martin Logan ESL side speakers. Will the motion center speaker match up well with them?

A: Hello. Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. All of our speakers are designed to mix and match with one another regardless of the series. So pairing your ESLs with a Motion center will work seamlessly together. We hope this helps and we appreciate your support.

Q: What is the RMS output and are each speaker functional or with passive radiators?

A: Hello. Thank you for your question and your interest in our products. For the Motion 30i, we typically recommend amplifier power between 20-200 watts per channel. As for the speakers, the Motion 30i and 50XTi are designed with a 2.5 way crossover to prevent lobing from occurring below the tweeter crossover point. Unless there is a single driver that plays all frequencies, there will always be some lobing. The 2.5 way design minimizes this as much as possible. In a 2.5 way MTM (Midrange/Tweeter/Midrange) configuration (Like the Motion 30i/50XTi) both woofers play the same up to the lower crossover point, then one woofer rolls off, and the other plays up to the tweeter crossover point. This minimizes lobing effects, in the same manner, as a TM (Tweeter/Mid like 15i or 35XTi) design would. With this, combined with the controlled dispersion of the Folded Motion Tweeter, we are able to avoid these acoustic issues. We hope this helps and we greatly appreciate your support.

Q: this speaker is listed at 4 Oms. Can I used a 8 oms receiver , without hurting the receiver or speaker ?

A: I have researched this a lot. ML can only speak to their speakers, not the avr. ML is biased and should not be trusted to answer regarding the avr. Consult your avr manual. If still unsure, ask the avr customer service. They will tell you the answer. (I did and was told not to use.) That being said, people allegedly mismatch speaker and avr impedance (ohm) without causing damage. If you do this, do not play at loud volumes though.

Q: I have this speaker currently hooked up with a traditional wire, is it worth the cost to purchase a bi wire? Any feedback from those that have tried both ways would be appreciated!

A: I tried both, and I heard an obvious difference when bi wiring the 50 XTi. I was surprised because I have tried other speaker brands with and without biwiring, and I usually cannot tell the difference. When biwiring, follow the manual and remove the jumper clips.
