Maverick the Movie
Although James Garner played Maverick on TV for 5 seasons, it is strange to see him in this 1994 motion picture, not as the lead character but as a lawman, but is Marshall Zane Cooper a friend or an enemy of Maverick (Mel Gibson) needs to be determined. The plot revolves around Maverick wanting to enter a high stakes poker game but is $3,000 short of the $25,000 entry fee. The adventure begins with Maverick trying to win the money as well as trying to collect old debts so that he can get on the paddle steamer to play in the tournament. The drama is more comedy than wild west rough and tumble, but is worth the watch.

Maverick Has Awesome Cast/Script!
This movie is a great western comedy and the tongue-in-cheek humor is awesome! Lots of cameos throughout the movie... especially in the final poker game scenes. You'll love the Danny Glover cameo!!! LOL!
