¹Surface Book 3 13.5" connected to keyboard base: Up to 15.5 hours of battery life based on typical Surface device usage.
Testing conducted by Microsoft in April 2020 using preproduction software and preproduction configurations of Surface Book 3 13.5" Intel Core i5, 256GB, 8 GB RAM. Testing consisted of full battery discharge with a mixture of active use and modern standby.
The active use portion consists of (1) a web browsing test accessing 8 popular websites over multiple open tabs, (2) a productivity test utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, and (3) a portion of time with the device in use with idle applications.
All settings were default except screen brightness was set to 150nits with Auto-Brightness disabled. Wi-Fi was connected to a network. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage and other factors.
²Surface Pen tilt functionality is available with Surface Pro 5th Gen, Surface Pro 6, Surface Pro 7, Surface Pro X, Surface Book 2 (15"), Surface Book 2 (13") (when using updated firmware), Surface Go, Surface Studio (when using updated firmware), and Surface Studio 2.
³Surface Book 3 for consumers comes with Windows 10 Home to bring you the powerful Windows features you use most at an exceptional value.
If you need additional enterprise management and security tools for the workplace, you can switch to Windows 10 Pro or purchase Surface Book 3 for Business.
⁴Customization requires download of the Mouse and Keyboard Center and is not available on devices running Windows 10 in S mode or Mac OSX.

Blue screen freeze wit error and loud sound

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased SurfaceBook 3 in 2021, and it has been working fine in the first 6 months, however recently it shuts down a couple fo times in the middle of my work calls, and the screen freezes with a blue screen showing an error with a loud sound. I can't take any action until the system runs it course. It has been quite annoying as i have to cut off currently from work calls and can't log back in without waiting for at least 5 minutes. I can't figure out what the issue is as this is a new laptop and used very carefully.

Very versatile laptop for all your electronic need

I can safely say this was worth every penny! Very simple set up, easy to use and the ability to turn it from a laptop to a tablet is so useful for work and school alike. I recommend buying the surface pen with it if you do any type of presentations or just like to draw. The last plus is the keyboard and screen size, the key board is well laid out (other than the arrow keys feeling a little cramped) and the screen size is perfect for movies!

I love this laptop very much. It’s portable, I got a case that makes me a lot less worried to take it with me on the go, and of course the whole screen thing is great. It over performs most laptops I’ve used, and all laptops with the capabilities it has. The only issue I’m having is my touchscreen keeps just not working randomly. I’ve talked multiple times with Microsoft, it’s been happening since the day I got it, and Microsoft said an update would fix it but I keep having to call them back. Not great but the customer service is. It is annoying the pen comes separate and now I bought a $140 pen for the touch screen to not want to work.
