Q: Is this a computer, or tablet?
A: I was told that, as long as it has Pro in the name, it is a computer with the added function of the tablet option. Otherwise, it's just a tablet. I have the SurfacePro 5, and I love it. All of my notes are on it and I always know where they are, but it's still a computer, so it's powerful enough to run Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as my company's VPN software.

Q: Is the surface pro 7 able to run programs like photoshop or AutoCAD without access to WiFi?
A: Photoshop should be OK; you would just need WiFi for activation and occasional downloads. For AutoCAD, however, you need at least 8GB to start, and 16GB is recommended.
