      Working well to date

We have been using this in our therapy clinic for 3 years and run it all day, 5 days a week. It has a large reservoir for the ice cubes and makes enough ice in a day for us to put the extra in a tray in the freezer for those really busy days. You can select small, medium, and large sized cubes. We always run the large size. The first cubes are ready in under 10 minutes, though they are small but do get up to the size selected on the 2nd and subsequent trays. You will need to remove the back cover every so often and blow out the unit to remove dust and dirt accumulated on the condenser fins. You will know when it is time to do so because it takes longer to make the ice cubes and they come out smaller. We don't use this for ice for our drinks because algae will grow in the unit after a period of time if you don't regularly dump the water and clean it out. But for ice packs and other cryotherapy needs, we are pleased with the amount of ice and pleased that the machine is still going strong after 3 years.

I have had this over a month now and purchased this model vs. other smaller ones due to the reviews. This is a space hog for sure, not something you would want to leave on your countertop full time, as the top of it reaches almost to the bottom of my upper cabinets, so unless you have it pulled forward you can't really open the lid well. The ice it makes is very wet, so if you are using enough to just take out of the hopper, that's fine but when I wanted to save some in my freezer it froze into one solid mass. I then figured out to put a single layer in a shallow plastic pan I had and let "dry" in the freezer for an hour or so. Then it can be put in a bag and it doesn't stick together . I like to do this so I have ice for a couple of days and I am not running the ice maker every day. Overall I am happy with it.

First of all this is an ice maker not a freezer. So the ice will b melting as it empties into the bin. That melted ice will be recycled into the next batch which will also be melting as it sits in the bin. It requires the use of distilled water which it took a whole gallon. This cost was equivalent to a bag of ready ice from the store. Reading the instructions like all appliances it would require a thorough cleaning after each use. Which translated into more work. I was disappointed and did not see any benefit at all to this appliance.

The ice maker in our freezer is way too slow to keep up with three people in the summer. I ordered this because it had the best reviews of all the small ice makers. I've had it only about a month and so far really like it. The only problem is that the control panel to choose what size ice cubes i want has a mind of it's own. If i have it on med, they come out large. If large they come out as one of the other two. It doesnt change from batch to batch so if you don't like the size then change it until you get the size you want. I'm just glad to get good ice and quick.

I have owned two of these. My first one made ice but after over 8 years the tray wore out and would no longer dump the ice. I bought a different brand and returned it immediately. It was loud and obnoxious. I love this machine and will buy another one when this one wears out.

We use this ice maker on a floor of 25 people. As long as we keep it filled with water we have fresh ice in minutes. The only drawback so far was that it took a while to get rid of the "plastic" taste. We ran vinigar through the system and then lemon juice which seemed to help.

First one didn't work. Had a little trouble returning it, but only took about an extra week. Second one works great. Let it set overnight. Added water plugged in and had first batch of ice in 15 minutes. Love it. Only had a couple of weeks but am very happy wit the purchase!!!

This is a very good ice maker with a fairly large basket to hold the ice that has been made. I usually can fill a cooler with 12 beers with 2 to 3 baskets full. It refills the ice basket in a refrigerator with 2 baskets full.
