Q: Are the included cameras POE? Or will they need a separate power source?
A: No, the cameras included do not use POE connectivity. This particular system is our analog system with 900TVL cameras. This system uses BNC / Coaxial cables to make all camera to DVR connections (VIDEO/POWER & AUDIO when applicable). The kit comes with everything needed to run the system.
A: Good Afternoon. You are correct. The number of channels on the DVR directly correlates to the number of cameras you can connect to it. Thus you can add up to 4 more cameras on your DVR. Q: Does the system require a network connection
A: Yes, you do not need network connection for the system to provide the service of surveillance. You will be able to record and program the system to do provide you the information you need. Internet connection is ONLY needed when you plan on having remote access to the cameras or system. If you do not have internet, you can still get all the benefits of the system minus remote access.
