The kit is easy to install when you go to the PAC website and follow vehicle specific instructions. The downside is the assorted resistor package included, does not have all the possible resistors. In my case I had to go to electronic shop and get a specific resistor for my application ( 2009 Aveo), which delayed the installation. PAC please include more, cost is minimal. Otherwise the product worked as stated.

Programming this was something that was confusing, Instructions seemed clear but at the same time didn't make enough sense. Would much rather have paid someone to do it all if I paid Best Buy to install my nav unit. If purchasing may want to consider paying for install.

Before I had a touch-screen navigation by Pioneer installed I was used to using my factory installed buttons on my steering wheel and did not realize that I would of had to get an aftermarket piece to keep these functions after getting the in-dash system installed. I am glad I did because I didnt realize how much I relied on the steering wheel options until I didnt have them for about a week. The price doesnt seem so bad but the installation price does rack it up a little bit that made me really think about if it was something that I wanted to get but in the end Im glad I did. The only negative thing that I would have to say is that it seems in extreme heat when first starting the car, it takes about 5 minutes for the controls to work. Once the car cools down they work just fine. It only seemed to happen a handful amount of times but is still something I will overlook. Overall, great product!

The aftermarket radio MUST be equipped with a wired remote input (3.5mm headphone style jack) to be compatible (ex. a port on the back of the radio labeled W/R, REM, Wired Remote, Remote, etc.). If the radio does not have a wired remote input then you will need to use the SWI-X.
This isn't just for GM..
The PS in part number is for Pioneer and Sony
