    Synopsis

    Paranormal Activity 4
The Paranormal Activity film series continues with this fourth entry from Paramount Pictures and returning directors of the previous outing, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. This time, the cell phones and computer cameras are focused on a teenage girl (Kathryn Newton) whose family allow a young boy in their neighborhood named Robbie (Brady Allen) to stay with them while his mom is sick. Soon after, eerie things start happening in the household, some of which focus on the girl's younger brother Wyatt. As the bumps in the night become more pronounced, the mysteries surrounding Robbie's family and the house across the street grow to the point where the only thing for the teen girl to do is investigate herself. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

An effective movie that continues the story

The movie is effective for its genre, and there a some good scenes in the movie. The story picks up after part 2 and continues the story but you can't help but get the feeling that you've seen this movie before - and its because you have! The movie is starting to run out of ideas on why a family needs to record video of themselves and nothing happens for a good portion of the movie. Like the previous films in the series, everything happens at the last 20 minutes or so, and no conclusions are really made - can anybody say sequel yet again? This franchise is milking the audience for its worth. It can be an entertaining movie and it can be pretty effective but an endgame for the series should be planned at this point!

I purchased the "Paranormal Activity Collection" which had the first 3 movies, and purchased "The Marked Ones" on its own thinking that was all of them, but i knew i had missed one, this should have been a part of the collection since the collection was newly released. It is still a great movie and part of the collection and partly brings together the other movies in the series, i wont spoil the movie for you but if you like the other Paranormal Activity Movies, this is a must own part of the collection.

I actually did like this movie. It is not favorite, and not my least favorite of the 4. It is hit and miss in parts, but for the most part things are on the track and it gradually grows in suspense and thrills though it never fully brings the scares we hope for. Nothing really jumps out at you until the very end, but with that said.... it is not a terrible movie. Worth seeing because who knows, you may really enjoy it!

Some people hated it, I like to form my own opinion. I thought it was pretty good and I liked that Katie was in it from the first 2 movies. Had a few good jump scares.

This addition to the Paranormal Activity series was lackluster at best. Had a few scares, but they were the typical jumps. Not impressed over all, and ready to laugh at the 5th installment when it comes out.

This was my least favorite next to #2 but as a part of the saga is a good story. I really got this to complete my collection but the end sequence is worth watching the whole movie.

If you're a fan of the previous movies, you should enjoy this one as well. Paranormal Activity 4 picks up a couple of years where Paranormal Activity 2 left off.
