Does not do well under a heavy load
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This drive holds a lot of stuff, but does not do well with very large transfers. It heats up quite a bit. While browsing files in file explorer the drive tends to be unresponsive quite a bit.

Q: QuestionFor this 1 TB Flash from PNY, what is the largest single file that can be copied to it? With my 256 GB flash, the maximum is 4,096 GB. I have Blu-Ray movies ripped from DVDs that are greater than 4,096 GB. They're for my own use only. No piracy.
Asked by DougMH.
- A:Answer This drive will easily hold blu-ray rips. The only thing is that you must format the drive as NTFS or EXFAT. Most likely it will come pre-formatted as NTFS. Note: You mentioned being limited to 4gb file sizes. That means that your current 256gb drive is formatted as FAT32. If you reformat as NTFS or EXFAT, then the 4gb file size limit will be gone.

Q: QuestionWill this work on a Dell Inspiron desktop computer that was upgraded from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional that will not recognize a WD external Drive?
Asked by EB.
- A:Answer That is a very specific question. You likely have a problem that is unique to that desktop of that WD drive. You should take them to a professional to have that problem diagnosed. All I can say beyond that is that this drive will work on a healthy Windows 10 computer.

Q: QuestionDoes this flash drive come already formatted ? I want to use it to transfer files from a Mac to a PC. When I've tried to do this with drives formatted for the Mac, the PC can't read the drive. Thanks.
Asked by RickT.
- A:Answer You should format this flash drive on your PC. You could format this on the Mac but it has 3 format options: APSF, Mac OS Extended & ExFat. Your PC has 1: ExFat.
