A:Answerthis only makes the ice, it doesn't keep it cold. so if the ice is left, it will melt and go back into the water used to make the ice. there is no need to empty the water everyday.
A:AnswerYou can clean it a couple different ways. One way is to pull the ice tray which can then be cleaned in the dishwasher. The actual ice maker itself cannot be submerged, it would have to be wiped down with a sponge and soap and water. Another way to clean that i find works best for me is filling the water tank with water mixed with vinger and lime and running the ice maker. This way it runs through all the water pipes and also cleans the ice tubes. Only down fall to this is you would have to run a couple cycles of clean water after to flush out the vinger/lime water mix or else your cubes may have a sour taste.
A:AnswerI have been trying endlessly to get this answer. I clean my unit once a week. I run vinegar and lemon through it and clean all the spots i can get to. I just noticed mold growing on the tray where the metal poles are and i dont know how long its been there. But what ive been doing doesn't work. I tried to reach with a tooth brush but it doesn't stsy open long enough to use it. I wont be eating anymore ice from this until i find out how to clean this. Please someone tell me.
A:AnswerWhen it makes ice, the family kicks on. It's not very loud. The only other sound is when it dumps ice. Make ice very fast. You could just turn in on 10 minutes before you want ice and it would make 2 batches about 20 pieces.
A:AnswerI use thin bottle brushes and lightly warm water. I also occasionally run like a 5:1 ratio water to white vinegar to like “clean” anything in the system. Though it’s not really necessary as long as you don’t leave it open when not in use. And you can take the basket out and wash with warm water and soap.
A:AnswerThere is no filter. I use bottled spring and alkaline water. If you use it a lot and expose it to dust or dirt you will have to wash it out carefully with soapy water, unplugged of course and make sure not to get water in the fan port.
A:Answersmall clear fill tube has a leak in it. most likely right where it goes over the fan shroud. I used aquarium air tube to replace and works like a champ.
A:AnswerThe ice maker does not need a waterline. You add your own water. It will make ice pretty quickly in about 10 mins. If you do not remove the ice, it will melt back into the water reserve and just keep making the ice. Very efficient. I would highly recommend!
A:AnswerI think they all do this. I have been trying to figure this out for years and still haven't come to a conclusion. Had about 4 different ones and they say different sizes and come out the same size. I said forget it, at least its making ice. Lol
