• A:Answer Works just fine with HP Envy laptop, as long as you have a USB port your HP Notebook should automatically recognize that it is a remote monitor. It will show as a black screen for a moment or two, then should turn right on. I have not had to use both USBs, except the first time I connected one to my GF's older Lenovo laptop. Subsequent connections needed only one USB connection.

• A:Answer Yes, I am using this as a third monitor for my laptop. I can use the provided USB3 to USB3 for video and power. My other portable monitor needs two cables, HDMI for video and USBC for power. This leaves me one USB port open on my laptop for my portable scanner! I am happy with this monitor, especially for the price. Just be aware you need to load the drivers for the monitor.

• A:Answer It uses a USB connection that requires it to be plugged into 2 USB ports, like on a laptop. It is not WIFI enabled, so you cannot use “Air Play”.
