A:Answer A gas-powered leaf blower was used within 5 feet of me and it was pretty well muffled. No irritating sound got through. I could have easily listened to music, but wanted to be able to answer questions. It's not as silent as 3M Workforce headsets, but those are passive, clamp-around-the-ear muffs. AirPods are a lot easier on the head and can be used anywhere.
