- Answer You would need a lightening to USB connector instead of USB-C. The iphone still uses the lighteming connector. On the back of your apple supplied earbuds case when you bought the iphone is an adapter

- Answer No. This adapter is more like the 'lightening" sized connecters and will NOT fit in a standard USB port on you device. It is not a lightening connector but kind of looks like one. You would use this to plug a standard USB device into a USB-C port.

QuestionMy iMac that has usb 2.0, firewire, and ethernet ports. External drives have usb 3 ports. Moving data via usb 2 port on my mac took days. Can I use this to move quicker by coming out from Mac firewire or ethernet, thru adapter into the usb 3 ports?
