- Answer Just the base is connected to the phone line. I have a second phone in my bedroom and a third in the downstairs kitchen which are only connected to the electricity. I should mention that I have my phone, computer and tv bundled on a cable line.

- Answer THE MUTE BUTTON IS ALSO THE DELETE BUTTON. I GET RID OF THE PHONE NUMBERS THAT CALLED ME BY PRESSING THE CID CENTERROUND BUTTON ARROW DOWN AND KEEP PRESSING UNTILL A PHONE # COMES UP ON THE DISPLAY AND THEN I PRESS THE DELETE (or mute) BUTTON AND IT GETS DELETED. HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL. JOHN

- Answer There is no flashing light to indicate a message is waiting. However, if you look at the phone screen it will tell you if there is a voicemail that has not been heard

QuestionIs the LCD back lit?Is the LCD back lit when the handset is charging, so that you can see if the voicemail indicator is on without picking up the handset? We are looking for a phone that has a light inidcating a voicemail that you can see across the room, but no one seems to make one anymore.
