A:AnswerI disagree with the prior response. i haven't bought one but the description indicates that this can "sync" as well as be used for Apple Carplay. If it was a charger only then the description is incorrect as well as the question/answer about Carplay compatible.
A:AnswerYes, which was my entire reason for purchasing it. The large USB-A cable connects to the vehicle, and the smaller USB-C prong attaches to the phone. It worked right out of the box.
