A:AnswerThis would really depend on which Blink cameras you were adding, the Blink Indoor and Blink Outdoor cameras would require the sync module to operate. The Blink Mini cameras are able to operate on their own (no sync module required)
You can have a total of 10 battery powered cameras per Sync Module 2. In addition, you can have a max of 10 Mini cameras per account, this applies to account with and without Sync Module 2.
A:AnswerI find conflicting information about this topic. So, if I have the videos storage only in the Sync Module 2, will I be able to watch them form the app in my cellphone?
A:AnswerYou are able to use any USB flash drive up to 256GB with the sync module 2, flash drive can be 2.0 or 3.0 (hard drives, SD cards, etc. will not be compatible).
A:AnswerYou are able to adjust your camera settings, view video clips, receive notifications, and access live view through the App on your compatible mobile device from anywhere as long as you have a WIFI or cellular connection. This is important to note for your cellular data plan, watching a five second motion clip without WIFI connection will use about 750KB of your data plan.
A:AnswerYou are able to use a USB flash drive up to 256GB with the sync module 2. When using the local storage option only, the cameras will record to the USB flash drive automatically and continue to record motion clips until full and then we will notify you to either free up storage or insert a new USB drive so we can keep recording clips. We will not record over any clips or delete them to make room, once the USB is full we stop saving clips to it.
A:AnswerClips will be stored in MP4 format and will be viewable using Windows Media Player (and other applications) when the USB device is inserted into a PC.
A:AnswerHi there!
Yes, you can set up two sync modules on your Blink account which will create two separate systems and allowing for each sync module to connect with up to ten Blink devices each.
A:AnswerAnswer is "yes". We can access our Blink home network of cameras at any time for a live view and select the camera we want to monitor and 2-way talk through and when cameras are "armed" they will send us motion alerts and record cause of motion on the USB drive we have plugged into our Sync 2.
A:AnswerThe Sync Module is plugged into an electrical outlet to relay commands and network details to devices in the system it manages. The Sync Module 2 requires a power outlet and is connected to your always-on Wi-Fi network to handle activity for up to ten Blink devices. This extends camera battery life, saves clips without a subscription, improves convenience for scheduling, and arms a group of devices at once.
The Sync Module 2 enables you to:
Conveniently control all of your Blink devices from the Blink app.
Connect up to 10 of any Blink Wired Floodlight, Outdoor and Indoor (all models), XT2, XT, Video Doorbell*, and Mini* cameras.
Support local video storage for up to 10 Blink cameras.
Record and store motion clips when you insert a USB flash drive (up to 256 GB – sold separately).
Connect all Blink cameras to a single IP address in the system it manages.
Enjoy longer camera battery life because the Sync Module is always available.
Each system is visible in the Blink app, and can have up to ten devices attached. When a system is armed, all of it's devices act according to their settings.
Blink devices need an always-on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi internet connection with at least 2 MB per second of upload speed (from your network to the internet).
The Sync Module 2 has an active USB-A port to store up to 256 GB of motion clips on your own compatible USB drive. Click to learn more about Local Storage. Eligible cameras are Blink Video Doorbell, Outdoor and Indoor (3rd Gen), and Blink Mini.
A:AnswerWe do hope to have the add-on Blink Sync Module2 available soon, stay tuned! Note: The sync module 2 is shipping with all new Blink Indoor and Blink Outdoor Kits/Systems.
A:AnswerHello,
Yes, you will need to delete the camera off of your Blink account first and then your son can purchase a sync module to connect with the camera.
A:AnswerThe Blink Outdoor and Blink Indoor cameras would require the sync module to operate. The Blink Mini is designed to operate on its own (no sync module required) however if you wished to use the local storage option available for the Blink Mini you would need to pair it with the sync module 2 and compatible USB flash drive.
A:AnswerI have my door camera in an apartment corridor and many people pass by every day, obviously I delete what doesn't interest me and leave some that do, I have almost 1 year with a 32gb SD card and it's at 20% I don't think I know fill in a long time
A:AnswerThe sync module 2 will still function like a traditional sync module, compatible with all generations of Blink cameras (indoor, XT, XT2, Blink Indoor and Outdoor, and Blink Mini), However, Only Blink Indoor and Outdoor and Blink Mini cameras will be compatible with local storage functionality. All other generations of cameras (indoor, XT and XT2) will be cloud based if/when they are added to the sync module 2.
A:AnswerYou can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.
