• A:Answer Hi, thanks for your question and interest in model #NIT8060UC. The cooking zone will not automatically turn off as soon as cookware is removed. If you remove the cookware from the cooking zone during cooking, the residual heat indicator and the selected power level will flash alternately. This means that the cooking zone is trying to detect cookware. The zone will switch itself off if cookware is not placed back on the cooking zone within 30 seconds.

Q: QuestionCan this be wired to a 40amp 240V circuit? Is the electrical rating provided in the installation instruction a minimum or maximum breaker size?

• A:Answer Hi Dude123, thanks for your interest in model NIT8060UC. This model cannot be wired to a 40 amp 240V circuit. The electrical rating provided is the maximum. Per the spec sheet, the volts can range from 208-240V and only 30 A.

Q: QuestionWhat is the minimum distance requirement for this cooktop? How much space must be between the cooktop and the bottom of the wall cabinet above it? We are deciding between a ductless vent above or a downdraft behind it.

• A:Answer I recall reading that this is not permitted. The total power required exceeds the 30A rating of the house wiring. I presume the induction control system would monitor settings and disallow such use.
