Here are the BTU ratings for all burners: Total BTU load (NG / LP): 50,000 / 43,200, power of front left burner (NG / LP): 10,000 / 9,100, power of back left burner (NG / LP): 5,500 / 5,000, power of center burner (NG / LP): 19,000 / 15,000, power of back right burner (NG / LP): 10,000 / 9,100 and power of front right burner (NG / LP): 5,500 / 5,000.

• A:Answer Hi Gwen, thanks for your question. Model NGM8056UC can work with propane, you will just need to purchase a conversion kit which is part number 18038168. You can purchase this directly from the Bosch website.

• A:Answer I think that it would be quite an effort to install a separate downdraft vent along with this cooktop. My husband and I were able to install this cooktop fairly easily. But I would have walked away if we had to install a downdraft as well. If you are having someone else do all this, go to town. Overall, we are very happy with this smaller cooktop that fits our kitchen perfectly! Good luck.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with a downdraft fan or can one be installed with it? If so, which one?

• A:Answer Mary - unless major changes have been made over the years, I would not recommend a downdraft with a gas cooktop. Although my experience was with another highly rated cooktop & vent (not this manufacturer), the vent was not strong enough for the front burners. Even worse ... the flame on the rear & center burners was actually pulled towards the downdraft. This resulted in very uneven cooking ... high flame in the back, low to no flame in the front of the pans. I would ask for a demonstration before pairing a downdraft with a gas cooktop.

Q: QuestionHow durable is the printed lettering and markings? My last gas cooktop had the letters and knob markings disappear after normal, nonabrasive cleaning.

• A:Answer Hi ChuckC, thank you for your question and interest in Model:NGM8056UC. Per the Use and Care Manual for this Cooktop: Always use the mildest cleaner that will do the job. Use clean, soft cloths, sponges or paper towels. Hot sudsy water; rinse and dry immediately. Do not use abrasive scrubbers or cleansers, such as Bon Ami®, Ajax®, or Comet®. They may permanently damage the finish or remove graphics.
