QuestionDoes this have an IR repeater? It would be blocking the IR remote signal that is located in the center bottom of tv. I dont know if the tv will turn on, if the soundbar blocks this

- Answer I have found that if I point the remote at the IR REPEATER, I can turn on and off the tv without difficulty.Before realizing that ,I would have much trouble with simply turning on and off the power.If a tech had simply told me this from the outset ,I would have had a much more pleasant few days with our new TV for the first few days.

QuestionWe have been looking at surround sound speakers for our Oled TV and Marantz receiver, would this be compatible with both? We have been told that is would not work with the Marantz receiver - we have limited space for center channel and this would fit !

- Answer Thank you for your interest in the SoundTouch 300 soundbar, Harnmar. As some others have mentioned, this soundbar is not engineered to connect to a receiver, as it is a powered speaker. The SoundTouch 300 is an incredible choice for another room in your home that may not have a receiver available, as it can connect to the TV directly using HDMI. For your main home theater room, we would recommend adding a dedicated center channel. Best Buy would be glad to help locate the best options for a center. Hope this helps! Jesse - Bose Support

QuestionI just bought a SoundTouch 300 but can not connect to my Sanyo tv. My tv does not have arc or optical slot. My tv only had dvi slot. Can I use the red and white cable with hdmi?I do not have a cable box,Apple TV or Xbox. How Can I connect it to my tv?

- Answer You can get a DVI to HDMI CABLE and use that in the HDMI slot... I've used that with my DVI laptop port..

QuestionDo I have to do another set up again to the Bose Soundtouch 300 Soundbar with a new Sony TV I just bought, I use to have another Sony 65 inch TV hooked to the Bose Soundtouch, but now I bought a 75 inch. It sounds like the soundbar is inside a box.

We would definitely recommend running through the AdaptIQ audio calibration anytime you make a change to the system's environment, whether it's rearranging the furniture or replacing a TV - this can all have an effect on the sound quality! QuestionI'm wanting to put this in a school weight room that won't allow a district Wi-Fi connection. I downloaded the Soundtouch app and it's first asking to connect to Wi-Fi. Can I not simply connect straight to Bluetooth and bypass Wi-Fi during setup?

QuestionI have the Bose 300 Soundbar great piece of kit, however all of a sudden the speech from the Soundbar is all cracklin as though the speaker has blown ? However when music is played it’s still sounds fantastic and the speech is clear.Connections ok,ideas?

- Answer What a curious situation.... Have you checked that all connections are secure? Looked into the settings of your cable/satellite box? Or reset the entire system by powering off-unplugging-waiting 30 seconds- reconnecting to power- then waiting 30 seconds for the system to reboot?? - Answer As a former BOSE speaker owner? I'd never buy BOSE ever again for Home Theater. For the price of the Bose soundbar a person can buy a full fledged 5.1 speaker setup. Something to think about. I'd return them and buy a real AV Receiver & a 5.1 speaker set. You'd be waaaay happier. Best Buy has a ton Home Theater "goodies" that make BOSE sound like an a.m. radio. Return the Bose & shop Best Buy for the real thing. The cost is the same or may even be cheaper. ~ peace

QuestionI have a Bose Soundtouch 120 home theatre system. It was connected to my Xbox 360 which worked fine. I now have it connected to a PS4. Every five minutes or so the Bose switches off and my screen goes black. I have to turn the Bose back on to continue.

- Answer All of you people. I am finding out that you can not hook the Bose sound system to very much. I have a 300 sound touch sound bar with subwoofer. I have a receiver, a 300 CD player and a VHS player. I can not hook these up to my Bose system. I was able to hook up my TV and my DVD player. Everything has to go through the TV and there are not enough hook ups to do that. Unless Bose comes up with a decent receiver I don't see it happening. As for the car. Doesn't Bose already have a car system?

QuestionI have my tv placed on fireplace, at about 5.5 Feet from ground. Is placing the sound bar below tv (above fireplace), a good idea? Or will the sound degrade ? And for tv to be placed on, are there any recommended casings for ST300 ?

- Answer You have HDMI ARC and HDMI IN along with Optical In slots. I believe for you, the HDMI IN should work just fine.

QuestionThere’s any specific list of the TV’s with the ARC HDMI NO SOUND issue? There’s a lot of Samsung TVs but I have an lg oled c6p, I have to switch between optical and HDMI arc to get sound out of the arc HDMI, but after changing inputs there’s no sound and.

- Answer Hi, if you keep switching the Arc stops working since it keeps memory. Specially if you had another device connected to it before the Soundbar. You have to reset the tv and Soundbar and connect them again. Don't connect the optical. Once the Arc connection starts working stay with it! Hope it helped, I had the same problem
