Asked by Apple.
- A:Answer You have to buy another product from GE to allow this to work. I ended up using with a cheap Echo Dot. I do agree working with HomeKit would have been nice.

Q: QuestionIs an amazon echo dot able to dim these lights?
Asked by Anonymous327.
- A:Answer Yes, I am able to dim with my Echo Dot. I just have to say something like "Lights 40%" and they will dim accordingly. If you have a fixture with multiple lights, you can dim each bulb at a different percentage if you want or even only turn certain bulbs on.

Q: QuestionI’m thinking of using these in a table lamp. Does the table lamp need to be plugged in to have the bulbs work?
Asked by Techgeek.
- A:Answer Hey there, yes you would have to make sure that the bulbs always have power for them to be controllable. They are very energy efficient, and when you turn them off via the app or voice assistant, the energy used becomes far less. If you're asking if they have to be plugged into the Smart Plug, then the answer would be no. In fact, we recommend that you don't plug the lamp you're using with our bulbs into the Smart Plug.

Q: Questioncan you have it on a dimmer switch if you leave the dimmer on full power?
Asked by RogerC.
- A:Answer Hi Roget, for best use I can't recommend using it in a dimmer, as this can cause the bulb to flicker or hum. I would only recommend using this bulb in standard on/off fixtures.
