• A:Answer The two ports on the bottom are INTAKE not exhaust. Our unit is not externally vented so the exhaust comes out over the top of the unit ( under the cabinet that it is mounted on ).

• A:Answer No, the mounting plates are different so you would need to use the mounting plate that comes with the new model. The CVM2072 has a WB56X10446 and the new model has WB56X35363.

Q: QuestionI have a GE Profile microwave that mounts on the top. Also tile is under the cabinet. I want to purchase a GE Cafe microwave to match Cafe induction stove. Is there a Cafe microwave that attaches to the cabinet on top as opposed to bolted to the wall?

Q: QuestionI’ve had my microwave for about a month. The “add 30 seconds” button is now weirdly just 10 seconds and today the internal light stopped working. What gives? Did I get a lemon?

• A:Answer Hi Mary. On the touch pad on the bottom row on the right you will see Surface Light. Press this once and this will turn on light. Press again and the light will go to lower brightness. Finally press again and the light will go out.

Q: QuestionDoes this unit move 300 CFM or 400 CFM? The spec on Cafe website says 400, but Best Buy website says 300

Q: QuestionHi , my Cafe over the range microwave CVM521P2M6S1.( Manuf. OCT/2021) Had a different look from the picture as advertised in the internet. There is no little drawer upon opening the door to take out the charcoal filter as supposed to be.

Q: QuestionI'm replacing a CVM2072SM3SS and want to get a stainless steel fingerprint resistant finish. The only over the range microwave I see that is such, is only 1.7 cu. ft. Can you please confirm that GE only offers 1 unit that is fingerprint resistant

Q: QuestionThe vents on the microwave do not pull enough suction in. My cabinets and face of the microwave are literally wet from steam. I have to use a dish towel to dry my cabinetry. Is this normal? Or should it have better suction?

• A:Answer Hi! Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you're having to deal with this steam issue and that your vent system is not pulling well. The vent system should properly remove most heat, steam, and smoke from the cooktop. If boiling or simmering for long periods of time on the front burners, the vent will not always be capable of capturing all of the excess steam. It may be necessary to use the back burners in this case. - There is a tissue test that you can try to see if your unit is drawing in air at all. The tissue test below can be used to check proper draw of the vent: -Turn the vent fan on HIGH and hold a tissue or paper towel under the vent area. The suction should hold the tissue or paper towel in place. The draw is equal on both sides. It's normal to have some air blowing out of the top grill. - If the unit does not hold the tissue or paper towel: -Check for proper installation of the fan ductwork. You can refer to the installation instructions for complete instructions. If your microwave is vented internally we recommend replacing the charcoal filter every 6-12 months, depending on usage. If the vent is installed properly and is still not drawing, we recommend that you contact service. Hope this is helpful. All the best. -Michael@Cafe
