QuestionDoes this camra have a infrared sensor?I want to get a remote for taking pictures of groups or of myself for my instagram photos. I don't want to spend the money on a remote if it isn't going to work. Can someone please help me? If it doesn't have a infrared sensor is there a remote that will work with this camera through wifi?

QuestionCurrently have Canon SX530. Thinking about upgrading to this one. SX530 takes great pics of the moon. Does this one? Answers have been mixed. Here is a pic of the moon I took with the SX530 in auto mode - does it compare?

- Answer I have not taken any moon shots yet. I have taken wildlife photos on our lake. The long zoom works pretty well. I still need to avoid hand shake on 200 mm + shots. Indoors video sessions at night have more noise than I would like but I have another camera I can use for that. Overall I think the long zoom ability of the SX60 makes it worth the price.

- Answer No do not ise this for class! This is a bridge camera not designed for your purpose. Get a true DSLR and learn in class to use it. Get yourself the Canon EOS Rebel T6 package. I saw it in the store when I bought this Sx60. The package had bag and two lenses. Perfect camera for your needs and price point $450. Too many people buy a camera out of their budget and take crappy photos. Don’t be fooled by the pixel game either, if the image sensors Are the same size , a camera at 16 meg has larger pixels than say a 20 meg. In short the 16 meg is a much richer photo. Not met many people doing prints larger than 18x24 using a sub $1000 camera!

- Answer The only way to record sound is to record video. That said, however, if you are seeking to add audio to still images, one can use video editing software such as the video editing functions in audio/video editing suites like Nero] to create slide shows of still images and add audio to the slide show.
