A:AnswerThe websites I see show this as a 51mm portafilter.
I've flipped through every page in this user guide and couldn't get a definitive answer. Very sloppy on Chefman's part.
A:Answerlarge capacity water tank is plastic.
Milk pitcher is stainless steel
Basket for grinds is stainless steel.
I have not smelled a burning plastic smell, like my last two machines.
I picked this out because the inside (part I can't see, ) is metal, not plastic. But I trust that; I can't prove it.
A:AnswerHad the same problem. There's an O ring that goes on the frother that fell off. Looking for a replacement one... would contact customer service.
A:AnswerYou are able to control the frother by itself. Actually, the espresso brews first then, you'd have to press the button to activate the frother. Only put how much milk you'd like in the frother reservoir and you should be good.
A:AnswerIt’s important to grind your own coffee beans. Not real fine but not medium either. We’ve been grinding our beans in between fine and medium and the grinds are always wet when we empty. The only thing we’ve found with this machine is that it’s not consistently making the same size cup of double latte. That’s the only thing we use is the latte which is delicious but just sometimes it’s half the finished product. To your question we never have a problem. It’s in the instructions about grinding the beans.
A:AnswerWe fill the milk tank according to what we plan to use that day, refrigerating excess until later use. It's easy to visually see how much milk is used for your typical beverages. We make two double lattes with partial refills each morning, using up the little remaining milk by extra frothing. We have never had issues with clogging. We clean completely after every use. We love our Chefman machine.
A:AnswerThis machine is an espresso machine. You could make an Americano but it will not make drip coffee. It has a function for espresso, capachino, and late with each having either a single or double shot.
A:AnswerIt will at automaticity delivery the milk to the espresso! As long as the silver tube is pointed into the cup and the milk is above the minimum amount line.
A:AnswerWhile I’m not sure what you mean exactly by “two double shot” espressos and using small pot instead of two cups, the answer to your question about milk is YES, you may make espresso without using the milk froth. Whether you’re making a single shot espresso or a double shot, it’s upto you which size pot you use as that will determine the strength of your espresso. If you meant can you make two drinks at once, the answer is no bc you’d have to change out the pot to make a new/another drink. I hope that answers your questions.
On a side note, I love this machine! Simple to use, makes it quickly, and the water jug is relatively big so you don’t have to constantly refill it with water after every drink. I would recommend this product.
