A:Answer NO! Electric Kettles never go in the dishwasher. In fact, you should never immerse your kettle into water.
You're boiling water, not cooking soup. Why would you need such a thoroughal cleaning?
Wipe the outside (once cooled) to keep it clean.
If you have mineral deposits inside due to hard water, use a kettle descaler (add and boil water to remove deposits).
If you rather go organic, fill the kettle with equal parts of water and vinegar. Let this soak for an hour.
Once the hour is up, just boil the kettle. Then, empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly.
If you don't have any vinegar to hand, try lemon juice!
