QuestionHow noisy is this unit? Does it have a battery hum, fan, or other noise while working normally or under load?

- Answer This is very quiet. I haven't noticed any noise at all. The only time my UPS has a noise is when the battery gets old and needs to be replaced (you can normally buy a replacement battery on line or at Home Depot (not expensive at all).

QuestionWe experience quite a few brownouts and rolling brownouts in our area. We do have a whole house generator but it takes about 20 - 30 seconds before the generator spools up. Will we have any issues going from utility to backup to generator?

QuestionDoes this automatically turn back on after? How old is this model, and is there a newer model of this available?

- Answer This unit is a current model. Auto restart after a power outage depends on the state of the battery when line power restored. If there is enough power to support the load, the unit will restart and vice versa. If the battery is depleted, the unit will likely need some time on line power to charge and the unit will need to be manually powered back on. Thank you for submitting your questions!

- Answer It all depends how much equipment you have plugged into it. I have an IMac a second monitor, a Promedia Box with 4 drives and according to the UPS readout it will last for 44-48 minutes.
