QuestionCan the system be set up to play well with just two speakers? I only wanted to hook up my two Klipsch floorstanding speakers. There's barely any bass coming out. I tried adjusting the tone with bass +6 dB and there wasn't much difference.

- Answer You can set your speaker to "large" for speakers capable of handling the bass frequencies. Default is "small." You can also change the crossover frequency. I would recommend downloading the pdf manual for the receiver, as it contains a lot if information on the myriad of options the receiver has.

QuestionI paired my phone through Bluetooth but that’s now the only device it will pair too. Is there a reason for this?

  This is normal as the unit can only pair one device at a time. If you are looking to pair another device you will need to turn off your Bluetooth on the current device it connects to and then start the pairing process again for the new device.

QuestionWhy would Best Buy list this as 140watts RMS per channel 700watt receiver when Denon themselves list this actually as 70watts per channel receiver. I could see that if you were using 4 ohm speakers but I thought it was only rated down to 6 ohms

- Answer It is capable to drive 140W (6 ohm) using 1 channel- basic stereo with 2 speakers. Most people will use 2 channel at 70W per channel at 8 ohms for surround sound using 5 speakers and a subwoofer.

QuestionCan I use this with just 1 subwoofer? Also, my current sub doesnt connect with RCA. Would I be able to use an adapter that plugs bare wires to a male RCA tip?

QuestionWhen setting the USB input to "Random", if the drive is set up with folders/albums/songs, can it shuffle all the tracks on the drive, or would all the tracks need to be in the root directory? Does a TV need to be connected to access that part of the menu?

QuestionWhy does it make the screen go black whe. my ps4 is the only source hooked up to it aside fro the tv output? goes black for5 to 10 seconds then comes back on.

QuestionBought Recvr to replace Recvr from 2010. Set up using all existing cables. There is snowflakes on TV screen. Triple check'd all connectns & even replaced unit, still snow. PS3 is my signal source(NO 4K), new RCVR is the only thing changed why is snowfl

QuestionAccording to Denon website, the 700W is discontinued. Is this why it is so llowcost ? Also - does this mean the warranty is not valid ? Is there support for discontinued products ?

  The unit is still available via the Denon website. The unit has not been listed as discontinued. The warranty applies to units sold as NEW by an AUTHORIZED dealer. We do still provide support to discontinued products.

QuestionMy problem is my TV is older and does not have an optical input in the back. Will this receiver allow me to connect the optical cord for my surround sound to it and play audio from my tv via the surround sound using this receiver?
