A:AnswerI can't answer definitively, but I would think that since these devices get their power directly from house current, use of one USB port would not deny any power to the other.
A:AnswerNot that I'm aware of. I have been using mine for awhile with no issues and I'm prone to brown outs and lightning but have not had any issues. If they do have surge supression it's not listed on the specs anyway.
A:AnswerI wouldn't think so. It's like a hose turned on at the spigot, but having a nozzle on the end that's closed. The power has nowhere to go until it's in use.
