Q: QuestionWhat is the max amperage for a single USB port? For example, if I only wanted to use 1 of the ports, and plug in an LED strip requiring 2a, would the port provide enough power?

- A:Answer Not that I'm aware of. I have been using mine for awhile with no issues and I'm prone to brown outs and lightning but have not had any issues. If they do have surge supression it's not listed on the specs anyway.

- A:Answer I wouldn't think so. It's like a hose turned on at the spigot, but having a nozzle on the end that's closed. The power has nowhere to go until it's in use.
