I have a us version of the Dyson airwrap and will be travling to a 220 voltage country can I still use this with a voltage converter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Kelly @ Dyson, My partner recently purchased the Dyson Airwrap styler as a gift. He lives in the US and I live in the UK. I was recently in the US and used the styler regularly, worked fine. Now that I’m back in the UK it doesn’t work. That does make sense due to voltage differences. I am just annoyed to learn that these Dyson stylers are meant to be used in the country of purchase. So what do people who travel do? Buy multiple units? This is not an appropriate solution for a consumer. Also, please explain why we should not use converters to alternate the voltage. That’s exactly why we have transformers….
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It won’t work. I’ve taken mine to Europe from canada. It doesn’t work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used a 220V/110V transformer when I traveled to China to use my styler.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Instruction manual says "do not operate with voltage converter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem for us, with an E.U. one, it doesn't work in the U.S. We tried many different converters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it should be like the computers that are CE and can be used anywhere as long as you have the correct adapter. Would not pay that much if your travel a lot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The problem is usually not the voltage : a converter should solve this issue. The main problem is the frequency of the power line (Hertz) which controls the motor speed. And that could damage the product, even with the correct voltage. If you have the same frequency, a voltage converter should do the job. https://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plug-voltage-by-country/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently travel with mine to the UK with voltage converter and did not work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn’t! And I wish I knew it before I went. It’s super annoying because it weights .800 grams and it’s a lot for 23 kg maximum weight for the suitcase.
