• A:Answer Not as simple as the DC15 I had which is disappointing. Pull up on the red portion and remove, extend tube until it clicks. Always be sure to extend tube until it clicks. To put it back, press button on hose end push long tube into hose while being gentle with hose to ensure long life, ensure hose end is below the rear protruding portion of the gray handle and align in straight up and down position, push red part of tube down into handle, flip red cap at top.
